She married Heber Nothstine II on Augin Traverse City, Michigan, and shortly thereafter they moved back to Iowa where they took over the family farm. Marilyn started her 20-year nursing career in Iowa City, Iowa, then Oregon, Michigan, and lastly back home in Maquoketa, Iowa. On June 4, 1996, he married Sharon Sumner in Las Vegas. He will be remembered as the jokester and for giving people nicknames, but most of all for being a great husband. In his free time, Greg loved music and was a drummer in a local band in his early years. Fischer was employed as a truck driver with Sara Lee for 25 years and was a member of the local Teamsters Union. ![]() Gregory then served his country serving in the United States Army from Mauntil March 28, 1968, in the Vietnam War, where he received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He attended and graduated from Heelan High School with the class of 1964.
